A Changing World

THEME - A Changing World
Just by being on Earth, at any given moment, and doing something or even nothing we are already changing the world. We live in an evolving world, but we need to be reminded that the important things have not altered, and will not, if we keep our priorities in proper order.
ROY G BIV Gallery for Emerging Artists invites you to view the exhibition, A Changing World. Work in this exhibition was created in reaction to the theme. The best lens-based art including: photography, new media art, film, and video, juried by Doo-Sung Yoo & Jordanne Renner. The invited artists’ work will be exhibited from September 12 - December 9, 2022, at the Fort Hayes Shot Tower Gallery (546 Jack Gibbs Blvd., Columbus, OH, 43215.

A transgender human photographer with experience in capturing the diversity and social change that strives to impact the changing world. Photography gives an artist a unique opportunity to freeze time, and capture something truly beautiful. My mission is to empower every person to realize their own beauty, and give them a voice to tell their story. Most of my pieces are created with the intention of advocating for human rights and self acceptance.

I am a proud trans man and LGBTQIA+ rights activist from Columbus, OH. My mission is to show people that queer and especially trans individuals belong in sports and in the outdoors as their authentic selves. I want to make outdoors spaces and sports accessible and safe for everyone. There shouldn’t be barriers to enjoying the natural world around us. I make myself visible and speak out against hate so that hopefully the trans kids who come out don’t have to hide themselves or quit the activities they love due to their identity.
Reyna Montgomery (she/they) - Model
I am a non binary model / actor within the entertainment industry. My mission is to keep shining my light to give others the same freedom. If you give the gift of YOU to this world, you set others free with your light. With that I express the essential lifestyle of igniting that very flame.
Brianna Chan (she/her) - Model
I’m a college student dual majoring in STEM and The Creative Arts field. If there’s anything those fields have told me it’s to speak up and be true to myself, be honest. Being a woman and minority, I feel that it is important to express how myself and others feel. Ways to express this is through art, my personal favorite, through dance/ movement.
Lane Palmer (He/Him) - Model
Since I am primarily an actor, I consider it a great privilege to embody another lifestyle that is different from mine. Doing so allows me to empathize and sympathize with other individuals on a personal level. I hope to continue to portray underrepresented groups and their stories. Doing so can help shed light on the daily struggles those people often face.
Morgan Kipp (she/her) - Model
As a woman and as a teacher, so many things are happening in the government and in the media that make it clear I cannot stay silent. As a cis straight white woman, it is necessary for me to not only speak up about issues that affect me, but to use my privilege to lift up the voices of marginalized communities as well. Art is a powerful way to use your voice and make a statement.
